Welcome back! I can't wait to hear all about YOUR summer reading! Come by and share your favorite summer reads with me in the library. Bring a short summary, a copy of the book, and your gorgeous face so we can share your recommendation on Instagram @whhslibrary. You may also share in the comments section below. I have not finished all of the YABA titles for this year but I did get through a few: I really loved Don't Turn Around and If You Find Me the most. Right now I'm working on Beautiful Music for Ugly Children and Breaking Beautiful (I always have at least one print and one ebook going at the same time!) In anticipation of the release of the movie "The Giver" I reread The Giver and also read the other three titles in the quartet. I remember really liking The Giver when I was in middle school but it was much more enjoyable to read as an adult because I actually had a clue about what was going on this time. Just for fun I read Game, Grasshopper Jungle, We Were Liars, and What's Left of Me. Finally, both Ms. McCutcheon and I read Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.
